Fubuki sounds like Suzuki?
Yes, another number puzzle with a Japanese name.
Fubuki is extremely simple maths game: fill a 3 by 3 grid
with the numbers 1 to 9 so that each line adds up or multiplies to a given sum or product.
What is Fubuki?
Fubuki is and great math game, or number puzzle, in which your addition and multiplication skills are needed.
Each puzzle consists of a 3 by 3 grid which has to be filled with the numbers 1 to 9.
Each number can and must be used only once and, in case of the addition Fubuki, add up to the totals of each horizontal
or vertical row or column of 3 numbers. In the case of the multiplication Fubuki, the 3 numbers are the multiples of the
given products. The rules of this maths game are pretty simple, but solving these puzzles is another story.
Brain training to the max!
We have made puzzles in 3 difficulty levels: easy for beginners (primary 1, 2 or 3 maths students for example), challenging and difficult. The more challenging the puzzles, the less clues are given. In the easier Fubuki puzzles we have already placed 3 or 4 numbers. In the most difficult puzzles, we have left the clues out. These maths games can be tough as nails and come down to a lot of trial and error, guessing and estimating! And these are exactly the mind and problem solving skills that we think math students need so badly.
Fubuki is therefore a game suited for all math ability levels and really motivate and engage the students during math classes! Kids can practice their basic number skills in puzzle format! What else do you want? Use them for your math activities!
Our maths puzzles are free and printable and can be used in the classroom or at home. Why not give a Fubuki puzzle as math homework or use them for math tutoring purposes! Kids, or anyone actually, love these puzzles. Just one warning: these math games are highly addictive!
